MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, January 18, 2011
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 8:05 pm. Present were
Mayor Maxwell and Council Members Brausen, Halverson, Youakim,
Rowan and City Manager Getschow
OTHER:
• Council member Halverson asked about the Fire Department
response to the spill at Foss Swimming School in Knollwood in St.
Louis Park. City Manager Getschow stated that it was the Chemical
Assessment Team from Hopkins that responded.
• Council member Youakim discussed Senate File Number 1. It is the
first bill of the legislature, and includes unallotments.
• City Manager Getschow stated that the Aji grand opening and
ribbon cutting is scheduled for Sunday, January 23rd. The Mayor will
be attendance at this event.
• City Manager Getschow stated that Fraser will be having an open
house for their new housing development on 8th Ave on the late
afternoon of January 25th.
• City Manager Getschow stated that he would like to schedule a
visit by our legislators at a February City Council meeting.
With no further business, a motion was made by Brausen, seconded by
Youakim to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The
meeting was adjourned at 8:25 pm.
