AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, June 7, 2011
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 9:50 pm. Present were Mayor
Maxwell and Council Members Brausen, Halverson, Youakim, and Acting City
Manager Jim Genellie.
Council Member Brausen spoke about the differences in the rezoning issues between
the Atlas Cold Storage site and 525 Blake Road.
Council Members asked about the activity at the former Valvoline building on
Mainstreet. Mr. Genellie said that he would find out.
Mr. Genellie told the City Council that Brimeyer-Fursman is scheduled to be at the
Worksession at 7:30 p.m. on June 14. The interview process will take place on
Thursday, July 7 and Friday, July 8.
Mayor Maxwell about his trip to the Ukraine. He told the Council that the Ukrainian
city of Boryspil is now Hopkins' sister city. He also said that a Ukrainian delegation
will be coming to Hopkins on September 23.
There being no further business, Council Member Youakim moved and Council
Member Brausen seconded the motion to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned by
unanimous consent at 10:20 p.m.
