2011-060 Joint Powers Agreement Regional All-HazardCITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2011-060 RESOLUTION Entering into Joint Powers Agreement to Participate in the Regional All -Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT) WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins has the authority to enter into Joint Powers Agreement to be part of the AHIMT WHEREAS, the Hopkins Fire Department has been invited to enter into a JPA Agreement with multiple cities and counties from the State of Minnesota WHEREAS, the Hopkins Fire Department Command staff will be part of AHIMT team to respond to incidents inside and outside the City Of Hopkins and the State of Minnesota WHEREAS, the Hopkins Command staff will do so under an Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC) engaged as a member of the AHIMT will be afforded all the protection and coverage as stated in Minn. Stat. 192.89 and retains all stated protections and coverage while engaged as part of an EMAC request WHEREAS, joining the AHIMT will give Hopkins fire Command staff the opportunity to be activated to support Incident Management activities pursuant to this agreement NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Hopkins City Council approves a Joint Powers Agreement with the All -Hazards Incident Management Organizations and establish membership in an All -Hazards Incident Management Organization.
