1986-65CITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO: 86-65 RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE VN86-12 WHEREAS, an application for a Variance entitled VN86-12 has been made by Naegele Outdoor Advertising, Inc, 140 Washington Avenue South, to allow an existing billboard to remain exceeding the 15 foot height limit. WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows: 1. That an application for Variance VN86-12was filed with the City of Hopkins on September 2, 1986. 2. That the Hopkins Planning Commission reviewed such application on September 30, 1986. 3. That the Hopkins Planning Commission, pursuant to mailed notices, held a public hearing on September 30, 1986; all persons present at the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. 4. That the written comments and analysis of the City Staff and the Planning Commission were considered. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hopkins City Council makes the following Findings of Fact in respect to VN86-12: 1. That a unique circumstance is present due to the height of the overpass. 2. A hardship exists due to the height of the overpass which dictates the height of a billboard to be visible from Highway 18. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that application for Variance VN86-12 is hereby approved subject to the following conditions: 1. To retain sign at location. 2. To accept offer prohibit advertising tobacco. 3.dvertising of City maintained on the approval present size and by Naegele to of alcohol and of Hopkins to be sign with City Adopted this 21st day of October, 1986.
