AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, March 6, 2012
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 9:15 P.M.
Present at the meeting were:
Mayor Maxwell City Manager Mike Mornson
Council Member Jason Gadd Council Member Cheryl Youakim
Council Member Kristi Halverson Council Member Molly Cummings
Council member Molly Cummings stated that there will be a Community Days of Service
meeting on March Stn
Council member Cheryl Youakim discussed substandard TIF Bill. She stated that Senator Latz
will carry the bill.
Council member Cheryl Youakim inquired about a new store in Hopkins.
City Manager Mike Mornson stated that the Blake School neighborhood meeting will be on
March 12th with a meeting in front of planning commission in April.
City Manager Mike Mornson stated that he and City Engineer, John Bradford went to the capital
to talk to Senator Gimse about SWLRT funding. Senator Grimse is the chair of transportation.
City Manager Mike Mornson discussed the Shady Oak road schedule update.
City Manager Mike Mornson gave an update on the Art Center. He stated that tonight's concert
was a sell out as was the last one. They also received $3,400 in give to the max compared with
$650.00 in 2010. He stated that the Art Center is planning their spring and summer events as
well as the 2012/2013 concert schedule.
There being no further business Council member Cummings moved and Council Member Gadd
seconded a motion to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent at 9:30 p.m.
