RESOLUTION NO. 2006-059
RESOLUTION APPROVING LAYOUT NO.1 FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF
COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY NO. 61 (SHADY OAK ROAD) BETWEEN CSAH
3 (EXCELSIOR BOULEVARD) AND TH 7, AUTHORIZING EASEMENT
ACQUISITION AND IMPOSING A PARKING BAN
WHEREAS, Hennepin Caunty has prepared Layaut No.. 1, Hennepin Caunty Praject No..
9112, far the recanstructian afCaunty State Aid Highway No.. 61 (Shady Oak Raad)
between Caunty State Aid Highway No.. 3 (Excelsiar Baulevard) and TH 7 and,
WHEREAS, Hennepin Caunty has requested that the City af Hapkins apprave Layaut
No.. 1, and prahibit an-street parking within the praject area and,
WHEREAS, Hennepin Caunty has also. requested that the City af Hapkins participate in
the right-af-way casts assaciated with this praject and that the city agree to. enter into. a
Canstructian Caaperative Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Cauncil afthe City afHapkins,
Minnesata that:
1. Layaut No.. 1, Hennepin Caunty Praject No.. 9112, far the recanstructian af
Caunty State Aid Highway No.. 61 (Shady Oak Raad) between Caunty State
Aid Highway No.. 3 (Excelsiar Baulevard) and TH 7 is hereby approved.
2. Hennepin County is hereby authorized to. acquire all rights af way, permits
and/ar easements required for said improvement in accordance with Layout
Na.1.
3. The City af Hapkins agrees to. enter into. a Canstructian Caaperative
Agreement which will define financial respansibilities for the canstructian
items, right-af-way, city design, caunty canstructian management and ather
related items assaciated with said praject
4. The City af Hapkins agrees to. participate in the right-af-way costs assaciated
with this praject in accardance with the terms of the afarementioned
Co.nstruction Cooperative Agreement.
5. The parking af motor vehicles is prohibited at all times an bath sides af
Caunty State Aid Highway No. 61 (Shady Oak Road) fram Caunty State Aid
Highway No.. 3 (Excelsiar Boulevard) to TH 7.
