2012-070 2013 Street ImprovementCITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2012-070 RESOLUTION ORDERING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, 2013 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 2012-10 WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the 2 11 day of August, 2011 fixed a date for a Council Hearing on the proposed street improvements to Monroe, Jackson, Van Buren and Harrison Avenues South; 1st and 2nd Streets South, and the trail along 2"d Street South between Washington and Harrison Avenues South, including asphalt roadway, concrete curb and gutter installation and water, sanitary and storm sewer improvements and all necessary appurtenances, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate and expedient to make such improvements, and WHEREAS, ten days mailed notice and two weeks published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held thereon on the 18th day of September, 2012 at which all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota: Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed in the feasibility report. 2. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the Council Resolution adopted the 17th day of January, 2012. The total estimated project cost is $4,914,000. 3. Bolton and Menk, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.
