10-02-2012 WSMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, October 2, 2012
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 9:10 P.M.
Present at the meeting were:
x Mayor Maxwell x City Manager Mike Morrison
x Council Member Jason Gadd x Council Member Cheryl Youakim
x Council Member Kristi Halverson x Council Member Molly Cummings
Council member Molly Cummings discussed a letter that she received on Cottageville Park.
Council member Molly Cummings discussed the Park -Bike -N -Pedestrian Plan and why a consultant
was hired for this. City Manager Mornson will check with staff.
Council member Molly Cummings inquired if there would be a survey done on the Business Forum on
September 27, 2012 from 4:00 — 6:00 p.m. City Manager stated that there will be a survey done.
Council member Kristi Halverson stated that she was concerned about Alley in certain street. She
stated that an RV and Boat was sitting in Alley. Mike will check with staff.
City Manager:
• Went over Cottageville Park Schedule.
• Stated that he had a discussion on Hennepin County Tour of a new Hub.
• Reminded Council of the "New Normal" program on Tuesday, October 9th, 2012 from 5:00 to
7:00 pm in the Raspberry Room.
• Stated that on November 1, 2012 there will be an "Open House" at City Hall for Shady Oak Rd.
• Stated that the landfill work is underway.
• Discussed that the Hopkins residents are using the Williston Fitness Center.
• Asked for Council interest in Metro Cities meeting in Minneapolis on November 14, 2012.
There being no further business Council member Youakim moved and Council Member Cummings
seconded a motion to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent at 9:35 p.m.
