2012-088 Amending Resolution 2012-070CITY OF HOPKINS • HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2012-088 AMENDED RESOLUTION NO. 2012-070 RESOLUTION ORDERING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, 2013 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 2012-10 WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the 21th day of August, 2012 fixed a date for a Council Hearing on the proposed street improvements to Monroe, Jackson, Van Buren and Harrison Avenues South; 1St and 2nd Streets South, and the trail along 2nd Street South between Washington and Harrison Avenues South, including asphalt roadway, concrete curb and gutter installation and water, sanitary and storm sewer improvements and all necessary appurtenances, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate and expedient to make such improvements, and WHEREAS, ten days mailed notice and two weeks published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held thereon on the 18th day of September, 2012 at which all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. WHEREAS, Council Resolution 2012-070, as originally adopted, erroneously stated • adoption dates of August 21, 2011, and January 17, 2012, instead of August 21, 2012, and September 18, 2012 for the Council Resolutions referenced therein. This Amended Resolution is adopted to correct those errors. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota: 1. Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed in the feasibility report. 2. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the Council Resolution adopted the 18th day of September, 2012. The total estimated project cost is $4,914,000. 3. Bolton and Menk, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.
