AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, March 19, 2013
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 7:50 P.M.
Present at the meeting were:
x Mayor Maxwell x City Manager Mike Morrison
x Council Member Jason Gadd x Council Member Cheryl Youakim
x Council Member Kristi Halverson x Council Member MollyCummings
Council member Jason Gadd inquired about townhomes on Marketplace and Main.
Council member Jason Gadd stated the meeting for Light Rail is on Thursday, March 21, 2013.
Council member Jason Gadd stated that the meeting for Beyond the Yellow Ribbon is March 28`" in
Edina, Minnesota.
City Manager Mike Morrison gave the following updates:
• Update on St. Joseph's Church
• The equipment on Excelsior Blvd is for this year's street project.
• BRCC meeting with a developer panel is on March 25, 2013.
• Tara Beard resigned to take a new position with the Hennepin County.
• Reminded council of the schedule for the Citizens Academy.
• Congressman Ellison and the Sheriff will provide updates on what is happening in Washington
D.C. in the near future at a council meeting. The date has not been determined yet.
• Reminded council that he will be at the Legislative conference on Thursday.
• Talked about Resolution supporting transit tax increase.
• Hopkins Girls basketball team will be at the April 16`" council meeting.
• Police Department won a grant the the Department of Public Safety.
There being no further business Council member Youakim moved to adjourn the meeting and
Council member Cummings seconded the motion to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned by
unanimous consent at 8:30 p.m.
