04-02-2013 WS after CC mtgMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING Tuesday, April 2, 2013 Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 7:55 P.M. Present at the meeting were: x Mayor Maxwell x ity Manager Mike Mornson x Council Member Jason Gadd x Council Member Cheryl Youakim x Council Member Kristi Halverson x Council Member Molly Cummings Council member Jason Gadd stated that the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon meeting that was scheduled for March 281h went well so the next meeting will scheduled for April 25th City Manager Mike Mornson gave the following updates: • A second work session is scheduled for April 23, 2013 • Light Rail Open House is scheduled at the Art Center on April 23, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. • Maetzold Field dedication will be on May 7, 2013 at 5:45 p.m. • There will be a ground breaking for Klodt property in the near future. • Planning and Economic Development will be at the Center for the Arts for the Citizens Academy on April 18th at 6:30 p.m. • Police Chief Mike Reynolds has been accepted to the FBI Academy. Congratulations to the Chief. • Gallery Flats building may start this week as well as the Knollwood crossing project. • We did not receive the legacy funds for the Art Center for next year's concert series so we may reduce some of the events. • Handed out the top 13 opportunities for 2013 that staff is working on to review with council. This is the result of the goal setting retreat. There being no further business Council member Youakim moved to adjourn the meeting and Council member Cummings seconded the motion to adjourn.
