AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, May 7, 2013
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 8:45 P.M.
Present at the meeting were:

Council member Molly Cummings noted that Burnes Park was spelled incorrectly on the plans.
Council member Molly Cummings discussed National Night Out. She suggested putting a box
for council on the form that is sent out to the neighborhoods.
City Manager Mike Mornson gave the following updates:
• Provided an update on light rail maintenance facility and other light rail concerns.
• Provided an update on the Hennepin County Hub relocation.
• Discussed city policy change on conduit bonds to 1 %.
• Stated survey will be presented at the next council meeting on June 4th and at the all
employee meeting on June 5th, 2013.
Kersten Elverum, PED Director and Steve Stadler, PW director provided update on the O/M
facility and Shady Oak Road as well as all the development opportunities that are going on in
Hopkins. Kersten also informed council that Meagan Beekman will start May 13th as the new
Community Development Coordinator.
There being no further business Council member Halverson moved to adjourn the meeting and
Council member Youakim seconded the motion to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned by
unanimous consent at 10:00 p.m.
