RESOLUTION NO. 2013-049
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF EASEMENTS
2014 STREET AND UTILTY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 2013-10
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the City needs to improve West
Park Road and 21St Avenue North; and
WHEREAS, the City has identified the need to acquire temporary easements for
construction of such improvements over certain real property described on the attached
legal descriptions;
WHEREAS, the City authorized an agreement with WSB & Associates, Inc. to
acquire the temporary easements associate with this project; and
WHEREAS, WSB & Associates, Inc. has obtained certified appraisals from Kelly
A. Lindstrom, an independent certified appraiser, for the temporary easements; and
WHEREAS, property owners will receive copies of these appraisals;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA (THE CITY) AS FOLLLOWS:
1. Acquisition by the City of the temporary easements identified in the attached legal
descriptions for the values stated in the appraisals obtained from Kelly A.
Lindstrom and such additional consideration as deemed appropriate by the City
Manager is hereby approved.
2. WSB & Associates, Inc. is authorized to make formal offers and negotiate with
property owners for the acquisition of the Temporary Easements.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, this 2001 day of August,
2013.
